Ulcerative Colitis
This clinical trial is testing a new study drug to see if it can help people with moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (UC) who haven’t responded well to current treatments.
You may be able to take part if you:
· Are aged 18 to 75 years
· Have had ulcerative colitis for at least 3 months
· Have moderate to severe symptoms, as confirmed by tests like a colonoscopy
· Have tried at least one other treatment for UC, such as corticosteroids, immunosuppressants, or biologic drugs, and they either didn’t work well enough or caused issues
· Are willing to stop your current UC medication if required and follow the study plan
You cannot take part if you:
· Have been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease or indeterminate colitis (not clearly ulcerative colitis)
· Have had serious infections recently (e.g. tuberculosis, hepatitis B/C, or HIV)
· Have had bowel surgery recently or are likely to need surgery during the study
Your medical history and other aspects of your health will also be reviewed to determine if you are able to participate in the study.
Registering your interest does not require you to make an immediate decision about participation. Should you choose to join, you may withdraw from the trial at any time.
